Unlearning the “I’m always right!” frame of mind

I remember, as a child all the way up to when I was a young adult, I thought I was always right. I didn’t have an opinion about everything, but when I did I was pretty certain I was right. I have had to “eat crow” a few times over that one. I still take this prideful attitude occasionally, but years of experiencing situations where I was wrong, not just a little wrong, but very wrong have caused me to be much more humble in my assumptions about my memory, knowledge and all around dealings with others.

I’d love to hear from you in the comments about similar experiences in your own life.
